The directory includes professional Canadian artists only when commissioned work can be verified through their official public website.
Minimum inclusion standard
- A named artist or artist-led studio based in Canada
- An official site that clearly offers commissions, custom artwork or a direct inquiry path
- Enough published work to identify medium, subject or commission fit
- No reliance on scraped marketplace listings as the primary evidence
What we record
Name, location, relevant commission types, mediums, current availability wording, public starting price when explicitly stated, official website, evidence URL and verification date.
Review cycle
Records are checked before publication and scheduled for periodic review. A listing may be updated, paused or removed when its evidence page disappears, commissions close, the artist relocates or material facts change.
Ranking and payment
No artist pays for inclusion. Directory order is editorial and may rotate. A featured profile identifies context, not a claim that one artist is “best.”
Corrections
Factual correction and removal requests are welcome. The directory does not reproduce artist imagery without permission and does not broker transactions.
